Description:Health and safety aspects of the worker traveling by air are briefly considered. Included are physical fitness for air travel, incidence of unscheduled landings for medical reasons, participation of passenger doctors in medical care of other passengers, medical equipment on board the airplane, handicapped passengers, use of oxygen for passengers, smoking sections, smoking habits of crew, preflight and postflight time to avoid unnecessary rushing and risk of heart attack, alcoholic beverages on board, low humidity in the cabin and cockpit area affecting such things as contact lenses and fluid balance, medications of passengers, and immunizations for foreign travel.
