Description:Calculated equilibrium data are presented for three phases in the flue gas stream from a hypothetical open-cycle magnetohydrodynamic (mhd) generator. A typical coal is "burned" with 1.0 Gram-mole k2o seed per kilogram coal and with 101 percent of stoichiometric air. Tables of composition and the overt thermodynamic properties, enthalpy and entropy, are given for the temperatures 2,200 down to 1,100 k in decrements of 100 k, at pressures of 1.0 and 1.5 Atmospheres, and slag rejection figures of 90 and 75 percent.
