There is a generalized discussion of the technology of mining and smelting iron ore, with a selected bibliography on the current state of these arts. The circular contains a summary economic account of world iron ore resources, and discussions of the structure of the domestic and principal foreign mining industries, iron ore mine employment and labor productivity, research and development, legislation, government programs, and strategic factors.
