Description:This study identifies the physical, economic, and technological parameters in the application of continuous haulage systems with special attention to under pit slope conveyors and skip hoisting systems. The evaluation data was gathered from extensive literature searches, European and North American mine visits, and industry comments. The study concludes that continuous underground haulage is a viable method within the proper geometric configurations. [Description provided by NIOSH]
