• Description:
  The duPont sulfuric-acid (7664939) plant (SIC-2819) was visited to determine the feasibility of including the plant in the sulfate study. The plant is found to have essentially no potential for exposure to sulfates or sulfuric-acid mists, or even sulfur-dioxide (7446095) except under an upset condition which is infrequent. It is recommended that acid plants in general be rejected as study possibilities for the sulfate project, except as controls. Description provided by NIOSH
