  The duPont sulfuric-acid (7664939) plant (SIC-2819) was visited to determine the feasibility of including the plant in the sulfate study. The plant is found to have essentially no potential for exposure to sulfates or sulfuric-acid mists, or even sulfur-dioxide (7446095) except under an upset condition which is infrequent. It is recommended that acid plants in general be rejected as study possibilities for the sulfate project, except as controls. [Description provided by NIOSH]
