Description:Personal air sampling for asbestos (1332214) dust was conducted by the United States Public Health Service at the National Gypsum Company (SIC-3275) in New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 19 and 20, 1970. Samples contained up to 7.6 fibers greater than 5 microns length per milliliter near one asbestos mixing operation. The author recommends additional sampling in the mixing operations area to determine if corrective industrial hygiene measures are warranted. [Description provided by NIOSH]
