Description:Claims are confirmed for known or suspected exposure to or disease from COVID-19. Counts of quarantine, laboratory tests, hospitalization, and fatal are for all claims filed. Information about the coronavirus outbreak and workers' compensation coverage can be found on LNI's COVID-19 Resource page. Methods for COVID-19 Surveillance details how this table was derived. Affected workers are under-represented in workers' compensation data, particularly outside of the healthcare sector. Washington's Confirmed Cases by Industry Sector Report summarizes all positive cases in the state, not just those associated with workers' compensation claims, and indicates a high burden of COVID-19 in the Manufacturing and Agricultural sectors. The industry report is periodically updated and posted to the WA Department of Health's coronavirus webpage. [Description provided by NIOSH]
