Description:The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE), in association with the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), recommends that states conduct surveillance for a set of 24 occupational health indicators across five main categories: health effects, exposures, hazards, interventions, and socioeconomic impact. Demographic information, along with the recommended indicators, are reported below for Georgia and the U.S. during 2015 and serve as measures of the occupational health status of the state's civilian workforce and can be used to track trends and guide prevention and intervention efforts.
