Description:Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: The first objective of this review is to assess the effects of field attenuation estimation systems and associated training on noise exposure at the ear and adherence to hearing protection use. A secondary objective is to assess whether the effects of field attenuation estimation systems differ according to age, gender, earplug type, and HPD use experience. [Description provided by NIOSH]
