    This document provides guidance for program managers, policy makers, and others on how to select strategies to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables. It offers the most relevant information on each type of strategy.

    The 10 strategies described in this guide focus on policy and environmental changes that are designed to increase access to and improve the availability of fruits and vegetables, with the expectation that these changes will lead to increased consumption. Strategies were selected on the best available evidence, as well as the knowledge and expertise of the authors and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) partners.
