Description:Enhance equipment lighting with LED area light fixtures. Headlamps offer adequate task lighting but a narrow coverage area. LED area lighting meets recommended light levels and offers a much broader coverage area. Good lighting is key to spotting hazards and performing pre-shift inspections. More task lighting may help lower the risk for slip, trip, and fall injuries. Properly installed area lighting is a simple cost-effective way to provide more light coverage. Recommended light level for inspecting and getting on and off equipment: 100-200 LUX. To learn more, visit go.usa.gov/xeKMh. [Description provided by NIOSH]
