Description:The Construction Chart Book: The U.S. Construction Industry and Its Workers has been the most comprehensive source of construction statistics since its launch in the 1990s. Developed through funding from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the Chart Book uses a wide range of publicly available data sources to explore trends and identify issues affecting construction workers and the industry. This edition—the 7th—continues to cover the topics that formed the core of previous Chart Books, including construction industry economics, demographics, employment trends, exposures, hazards, and injuries/illnesses. This edition also highlights new issues, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, that have impacted the construction industry and workforce in the last five years. The 7th edition does more than update and expand data—it also offers new opportunities to understand it. Interactive Dashboards with Dynamic Key Findings, with filters (specific years, for example) that update key findings and charts are available for most chapters. Because the Interactive Chart Book lives online, its data can be updated whenever new information becomes available. The many improvements in the 7th edition have not changed the goal of the Chart Book, however. It continues to provide people across the construction industry with timely data that helps the industry flourish and enables.
