Description:The NIOSH FACE (Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation) program investigates selected work-related fatalities, collecting information not captured in other data sources - including detailed reports on employer safety management and training programs, use of engineering controls and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the jobsite, and NIOSH recommendations for preventing similar incidents. Researchers codified data from 768 FACE reports between 1982 and 2014 to create a Construction FACE Database (CFD), and analyzed the contents. See abstract: http://bit.ly/2xdVcgL.
