Description:Logging was the deadliest civilian occupation in 2015 in the U.S., with a fatality rate of 132.7 per 100,000 full-time equivalent workers; in total, 62 workers were killed. The most common cause of death was being struck by falling trees and limbs. Since Jan 2016, 8 loggers have been killed by falling trees or limbs during felling operations in Kentucky.
