  A 67-year-old truck driver was delivering fuel to a gas station. He parked on a slight incline and may not have realized it. When he exited the truck, he did not set the parking brake and did not use chocks. The truck began to roll. The driver was standing on the passenger side and, in an apparent attempt to get back into the cab, he ran in front of the rig. He was killed by being crushed between the front of the tractor-trailer rig and an espresso stand. TIPS TO LIVE BY: Always set the parking brake before exiting your truck. Chock at least one "driver" wheel on each side. Never attempt to stop a rolling truck from outside the vehicle. Description provided by NIOSH
