Description:The following is the report of a project to investigate the reduction in respirable dust and crystalline silica exposures to construction workers that resulted from the use of a novel control that was conceived of and built by the site superintendent to suppress the dust generated from the use of a concrete scabbler. Scabbling concrete involves dressing the surface of the concrete to remove surface imperfections or surface coatings. [Description provided by NIOSH]
