Description:During presentations spanning perspectives from government to industry to consensus groups, both national and international, panelists and the audience acknowledged the importance and complexity of the task of developing and communicating appropriate exposure guidelines and limits for chemicals in the workplace. WEELs, NCELs, PELs and RELs were common acronyms heard throughout the session, as the panelists explained the theory and processes for determining acceptable concentrations for chemicals in the workplace and described their relevance to other OELs.
