Description:The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) received a request for a health hazard evaluation to assess carbon monoxide (CO) levels within an enclosed arena during a monster truck and motorcross show. NIOSH investigators conduced personal and area air monitoring during two evening shows to evaluate air concentrations of carbon monoxide and volatile organic compounds, as well as to measure noise levels.
