Description:"Presentation of the criteria and the recommended standard based thereon which were prepared to meet the need for preventing occupational disease arising from exposure to chromic acid. The proposed standard applies only to the processing, manufacture, and use of chromic acid in products as applicable under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. The standard was not designed for the population-at-large, and any extrapolation beyond general occupational exposures is not warranted. It is intended to protect against injury from chromic acid, be measurable by techniques that are valid, reproducible, and available to industry and official agencies, and be attainable with existing technology." - NIOSHTIC-2
