Description:Data analyzed by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Division of Safety Research show that falls from vehicles accounted for more than 35% of the fall-related injuries in the heavy construction industry during the period 1980 through 1987. Improvements in access systems on many trucks and other heavy equipment used in construction could help to reduce these injuries. [Description provided by NIOSH]
