The nature and scope of one's interaction with wood preservatives and treated wood products may be very different. Because the vast majority of wood preservatives in use today are restricted-use chemicals, each person using wood preservatives and treated wood products assumes the responsibility to use these products safely in accord with the specific label directions. Because of the different types of contact individual applicators have with wood preservatives, this publication is divided into chapters that focus on the major ways applicators use these chemicals.
