Description:Lyme disease is the most common vector borne disease in the United States. Since the early 1980s, a large body of literature has evaluated the occupational risk of Lyme disease. The availability of a new vaccine to prevent Lyme disease makes it necessary for occupational health professionals to make decisions regarding the occupational risk of the disease among employees.
