  Statistical procedures are given to avoid pitfalls in estimating the coefficient of variation for weighing errors and in calculating the 10 sample net error coefficient of variation and noncompliance parameter for 10 samples. The procedures are applicable to the problems of determination of noncompliance with the Respirable Dust Standard of the Federal Coal Mine Health and Safety Act of 1969.
