Description:A description is given of the new substrates, Ucon-75-H-90,000 and Ucon-LB-300X used on the piezoelectric crystal detectors. The coatings are used in the detection of ammonia (7664417) and nitrogen- dioxide (10102440) in the parts per billion range. Some problems are caused by atmospheric moisture and high concentrations of organic pollutants. The infrared spectra of the gas-solid reaction, and the results of a study of interference from other pollutants, are presented. [Description provided by NIOSH]
