Description:To elicit the dermal response known as degreasers' flush, ethanol (64175) was administered to volunteers repeatedly exposed to trichloroethylene (79016). Six of the 7 exposed subjects present transient vasodilation of superficial vessels reaching maximum intensity in 30 minutes and fading completely within 60 minutes. Skin vasodilation exhibited symmetrical patterns of the face, neck, shoulder, and back. [Description provided by NIOSH]
