Description:Report of a study of industrial users of methyl-butyl-ketone (591786) (MBK) and the possibility of peripheral neuropathy developing in workers exposed to the solvent. A potential danger was found to exist in the Carboline Company, Moran Paint Division, (SIC-2851) from continued exposure to organic vapors in excess of OSHA standards. Recommendations include a further industrial hygiene survey, a vigorous program of employee training and information, personal hygiene, and the use of pumps to draw solvents from 55 gallon drums into the pebble mills.
