Description:Annotated bibliography of approximately 75 publications available from the Appalachian Center for Occupational Safety and Health, Morgantown, West Virginia, and generated by the Biochemistry, Field Studies, Infectious Diseases, and Statistical branches, and by the Medical Research branch, comprising the Clinical, Medical Instrumentation, Pathology, and Physiology sections. Major emphasis of the publications is on occupational diseases of coal miners, particularly lung disorders and pulmonary reaction to coal dust and coal constituents. Topics include pneumoconiosis, lung mechanics and functions, chronic pulmonary disease, allergic alveolitis, pulmonary hemodynamics, influenza, cervix cancer, lung cancer, immunoglobulin secretion, serum trypsin (9002077) and chymotrypsin (9004073) reactions, urinary hydroxyproline excretion, and various biochemical, blood chemical, radiological and radiographic analysis and diagnostic tests, with findings, made for these diseases.
