Description:Petroleum distillate (naphtha) (8030306) vapors are found toxic at concentrations measured in the final assembly section of an electric company. Toxic effects of naphtha vapor exposure include dry throats, burning of eyes, mild headaches, dizziness, respiratory irritation and in some cases dermatitis from direct contact with the compound. Data are given for the plant process, evaluation design, evaluation methods, criteria, with discussion of environmental and medical investigation results. The health standard for naphtha is given as 2000 milligrams per cubic meter. Description provided by NIOSH
