Description:Worker safety matters during block wall construction. Injury Prevention Recommendations: 1. Follow engineering designs and install adequate temporary bracing. 2. Develop a wall bracing plan and train workers to follow the plan. 3. Establish a limited access zone that is the height of the wall plus four feet. 4. Monitor wind speeds. 5. Retain temporary bracing until permanent supporting elements are in place on walls greater than 8ft in height. See FACE report 2014-02 for more information: www.cdc.gov/niosh/face/pdfs/full201402.pdf.
