Description:This report provides the findings from antimicrobial susceptibility testing of Campylobacter, E. coli, Shigella, non-typhoidal Salmonella, and Salmonella Typhi and Paratyphi isolates (from humans) submitted to CDC in 2007. This report also includes 2007 results from a pilot study initiated in 2004 in which NARMS prospectively monitored the prevelance of antimicrobial resistance of E. coli isolated from human stool samples in Maryland and Michigan. This is the first NARMS Human Isolates report to include antimicrobial susceptibility data for Salmonella Paratyphi isolated from humans.
