    The US Government through Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) awarded the Ministry of Health (MoH) a five –year Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) in 2019 to implement activities in line with its mandate in support of the public health response to HIV/AIDS and other Health Systems across the Country. This is through implementing and monitoring interventions to attain 95-95-95 epidemic control by 2020; Developing and disseminating normative guidance, policies and standards; Strengthening technical capacity at national and regional level; Strengthening central level capacity to regulate, monitor, and certify the quality of regional and district health services; and Developing MoH capacity to fulfill financial and programmatic management requirements of CDC funds.

    Therefore, this interim annual progress report highlights a summary of the CoAg achievements and challenges for the period 1st October 2019 to 31st March 2020 and strategies for the subsequent funding period (COP20).
