The David J. Sencer CDC Museum was established in 1996 in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) 50th anniversary. The CDC Museum is designed to educate visitors about the value of prevention-based public health, while presenting the CDC’s rich heritage and vast accomplishments. The museum is free and open to the public Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM, with hours extended to 7 PM on Thursday.
