Description:Lead exposure is not limited to children who are from specific racial and ethnic minority groups, come from households with lower incomes, were born outside of the United States, or live with an adult who works with lead. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to talk to their healthcare providers to find out if their children are at risk for lead exposure and if a blood lead test is needed. Based on the child’s blood lead level, they can be connected to recommended nutritional, educational, and environmental services.
