Description:Nannizzia polymorpha is a dermatophyte that rarely infects humans. We describe 2 case-patients from Asia who had an inflammatory type of tinea capitis and tinea manuum caused by infection with this fungus. The diagnosis was confirmed on the basis of the morphologic and molecular characteristics of the microorganism.
