OVERVIEW: Injuries are the leading cause of death for persons ages 1–44 in Kentucky. The Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center is a partnership between the Kentucky Department for Public Health and the University of Kentucky’s College of Public Health that combines academic investigation with practical public health initiatives. Kentucky is working to decrease injuries and violence by implementing evidence-based programs and strategies.
BASE COMPONENT: Kentucky is addressing all required focus areas using injury and violence prevention strategies.
