Description:Statistics of short-stay hospital episodes during the year prior to interview, hospital discharges with at least one night of inpatient stay, and days hospitalized are presented for parsons under 65 years of age. These data are presented by age, sex, race, Hispanic origin, family income, education of head of family, geographic region, place of residence, chronic activity limitation, perceived health status, hospital insurance coverage, and occupation and industry of currently employed persons. Estimates are based on data collected in household interviews in 1980 and 1981.
