Description:Statistics based on data collected in 1973 are presented on breast feeding of first- and second-born babies. The percentages of mothers who breast fed and who breast fed for 3 months or more are distributed by year of the mother's birth and year of the baby’s birth. These distributions are shown separately for women classified by race or ethnicity, geographic region, and various socioeconomic variables.
