Description:Comparable data on all registered nurses in the United States were collected in 1972 and again in 1977-78. Changes in the supply and distribution of nurses and their demographic and practice characteristics were examined to determine what significant trends occurred between the two inventories. This report summarizes the results of an analysis of some of the data.
