The brochure briefly discusses workplace injury and disease and NIOSH's role in ensuring safe and healthful working conditions. NIOSH surveillance programs, laboratory research, field research, training programs, and information services are described. The National Occupational Research Agenda developed by NIOSH is summarized and the 21 priority research areas are listed. NIOSH's new Health Effects Laboratory Division and its new laboratory building in Morgantown, West Virginia were described and areas of research were presented. The brochure also contains the NIOSH organizational chart and information about educational resource centers, NIOSH Divisions, NIOSH Offices, and the Epidemic Intelligence Service." - NIOSHTIC-2
