Description:The U.S. National Action Plan for Combatting Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria directs federal agencies to accelerate the U.S. government’s response to antibiotic resistance by presenting coordinated, strategic actions to improve the health and well-being of all Americans across the One Health spectrum. The National Action Plan was first released in 2015 and includes national targets to combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria, specifically those recognized in CDC’s 2019 Antibiotic Resistance Threats Report. In late 2020, CDC joined with other federal partners in the CARB Task Force to release the next iteration of the National Action Plan, outlining ambitious goals and actions to be completed from 2020 through 2025 National Action Plan for Combating Antibiotic- Resistant Bacteria, 2020-2025 | ASPE (hhs.gov).
