Description:"The information contained in this manual was intended to provide an instructor with ideas and goals for building a community based educational program toward reducing tractor overturns and resulting injuries. The manual provided information for getting started and planning the program, resources to use, selecting committee members and setting the plan in motion. Tractor overturn statistics were provided, along with causes of the accidents and solutions to keep those same accidents from occurring again. A practical teaching guide for agricultural safety and health was included. In the section on empowering the community to action, the manual considered the importance of the role of the community in the project, marketing the project to the community and getting publicity, establishing a key contact list, the kick off meeting, distributing materials, dissemination of supporting information, and follow up meetings for evaluation. Several reproducible and overhead sheets were provided along with media releases and invitation letters, participant sign up forms and worksheets, evaluation forms, and support services and references." - NIOSHTIC-2
