• Description:
  Mortality statistics from children 1-19 years of age by race, sex, and cause of death are analyzed focusing on differences in external and natural causes. General trends from 1900-68 as well as trends in leading causes of death for 1968-85 are examined. Geographic variation by cause of death and cross-national comparisons are also presented.
