Description:In late 1982 the Sine-Saloum Family Health Survey was conducted in rural areas of the Sine-Saloum Region of Senegal. This survey, carried out by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the National Census Office of Senegal, was performed in order to assess the health status and needs of women and children and to provide baseline information for the future evaluation of the Sine-Saloum Family Health Project, a primary health care project whose second phase was to begin shortly after the survey.
The 1985 Mauritius CPS measures, for the first time in this country, the full range of family planning service use and unmet need on the islands of Mauritius and Rodrigues.
