  NOTE: A relatively small number of records (approximately 0.08% of all deaths) erroneously include duplicate ICD-10 codes in tape locations 344-443 (multiple conditions, record-axis conditions). This error was discovered after file release. These duplicates should not affect any multiple cause of death analysis. Questions concerning this error can be sent to MortalityData@cdc.gov.
