  Key Updates for Week 3, ending January 23, 2021 ; Nationally, surveillance indicators tracking levels of SARS-CoV-2 circulation, associated illnesses, and hospitalizations remain elevated but show decreasing trends in recent weeks. However, recent declines in these indicators should be interpreted with caution as reporting delays increased due to the holidays and a rise in the number of COVID-19 illnesses.
