Description:The objectives of this study were to examine a representative cross section of formal safety analysis techniques developed for the nuclear and aerospace industries, to recommend those methods that would be suitable for application to the mining industry, and to include those methods in a user’s manual.
The user's manual in this report describes several methods that were determined to be immediately transferrable to the mining industry. The manual gives detailed instructions on appropriate application and utilization of the methods.
