Description:The life tables in this report are current life tables for Idaho based on age-specific death rates for the period 1989– 91. With the exception of those aged 95 years and over (and to a lesser extent those aged 85–94 years), the death rates were calculated using data from the 1990 census of population and deaths occurring in the United States to residents of Idaho in the 3 years 1989–91. Other publications in this decennial series present life tables for the United States and the other individual States. Generally, these reports show life tables calculated for the white population, the population other than white, and the black population separately by sex and for both sexes combined. Each of these reports also shows life tables for the total population, for total males, and for total females. Standard errors of the probability of dying and of life expect- ancy are also provided. However, life tables for the population other than white and for the black population in a State are not published when the total number of deaths for either males or females during the 3-year period is less than 700.
