Description:Gynecologic cancer is any cancer that starts in women’s reproductive organs. The five main types of gynecologic cancer are cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, vaginal cancer, and vulvar cancer. Cervical cancer is the only gynecologic cancer that can be prevented through screening. The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine protects against the types of HPV that most often cause cervical, vaginal, and vulvar cancers.
