This historic 1960 view, looking towards the west, depicts the appearance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) geographic presence in 1960. At that time the modern day CDC was known as the Communicable Disease Center, from 1946 until 1967. Buildings 4 and 5, which no longer exist, were highlighted in this view of the old physical plant.
