For the Month of April 1969

In April 1969, 1,604 isolations of saltnonellae were reported from humans, an average of 321 isolations per week (Tables I, II, and V-A). This number represents an increase of 30 (10.3 percent) over the weekly average of March 1969 and an increase of 23 (7.7 percent) over the weekly average of April 1968.

Reports of 837 nonhuman isolations of salmonellae were received during April 1969 (Tables II, IV, and V-B).
